1.Universal Primary Education---Apart of the UN`s Millennium goals, GSI set forth educate the community about the importance of education. GSI`s first Awareness Evening consisted of the airing of "A Small Act", a film by Jennifer Arnold. 2. Domestic Violence---Millions of women face physical, verbal, and sexual abuse at the hands of their spouses on a daily basis. As such, GSI found the need to help victims of domestic violence. The organization reached out to Safe Horizon, a charitable organization, that aided victims of abuse. GSI`s second Awareness Evening consisted of a speech by Domestic Violence expert, Eri Kim. In addition, there was a screening of, "Telling Amy`s Story", a documentary which outlines the death of Amy McGee, at the hands of her abusive husband.
